Its aim is to strengthen existing ties and build new bridges in the field of semiconductors and related technologies. <br\/><br\/>The meeting brought together the current MOU signatories:<br\/>&#8211; Technum Qu\u00e9bec &#8211; Zone d&#8217;innovation en \u00e9lectronique et semi-conducteur<br\/>&#8211; AmCham \u2013 section Qu\u00e9bec<br\/>&#8211; C2MI<br\/>&#8211; Distriq \u2013 Zone d\u2019innovation quantique<br\/>&#8211; Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke<br\/>&#8211; Conseil du patronat du Qu\u00e9bec<br\/>&#8211; ISEQ (P\u00f4le d&#8217;excellence en syst\u00e8mes \u00e9lectroniques du Qu\u00e9bec)<br\/>&#8211; University of Vermont<br\/>&#8211; Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development<br\/><br\/>Three new stakeholders also participated in the meeting with the intention of formally joining the initiative:<br\/>&#8211; Venture Lab<br\/>&#8211; CMC Microsystems<br\/>&#8211; Department of Business and Economic Affairs &#8211; State of New HampshireState of New Hampshire<br\/><br\/>The day was marked by the presence of Senator Peter Welch (Vermont), who addressed the group in the morning. As an architect of the CHIPS and Science Act, Senator Welch underscored the strategic importance of building a resilient, continental semiconductor value chain.   <br\/><br\/>\u00ab <em>We have reached an important milestone today. The Northeast Corridor is no longer just an idea \u2013 it is becoming a concrete and sustainable structure for action <\/em>,\u201d said Manon Duclos, President and CEO of Technum Qu\u00e9bec.<br\/><br\/>This initiative would not have taken shape without the vision and leadership of Michel Belval, President of the Qu\u00e9bec chapter of AmCham:<br\/><br\/>\u00ab <em>This corridor answers a strategic need: to structure and reinforce the economic and technological links between our two markets. With our geographic proximity and ecosystem complementarity, we are uniquely positioned to become a hub of collaboration in North America. <\/em>. \u00bb<br\/><br\/>Qu\u00e9bec is home to over 900 companies in the electronics and semiconductor sectors.
