Bromont, October 21, 2024 – Technum Québec, an innovation zone specializing in digital and semiconductor technologies, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Québec (AMCHAM-Québec) are strengthening their strategic collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at boosting the semiconductor industry within the Northeast Semiconductor Manufacturing Corridor. This corridor, linking Bromont to Albany, includes the largest concentration of semiconductor manufacturers in Canada.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for the development of business and technological ties with the United States, as the semiconductor industry becomes increasingly critical to the North American economy and national security. By committing to join forces, Technum Québec and AMCHAM-Québec will facilitate knowledge exchange, encourage business partnerships, and support technological innovation in this strategic sector.
Objectives of the Collaboration :
- Renforcement des liens d’affaires : AmCham-Québec facilitera les échanges commerciaux entre Technum Québec et les entreprises américaines, créant des opportunités pour des projets communs dans les semi-conducteurs.
- Événements conjoints : Les deux parties s’engagent à organiser des forums, missions commerciales et conférences afin de promouvoir les avancées technologiques et opportunités d’affaires dans ce domaine.
- Soutien à l’innovation : Ensemble, elles mettront en avant des initiatives innovantes et encourageront la recherche et l’innovation dans les nouvelles technologies de semi-conducteurs.
