The objective of this research chair is to develop technologies to improve medical imaging by measuring the time of flight of photons. For what? In order to design new scanners capable of supporting cutting-edge research in the biomedical field, which will notably improve the diagnosis of certain diseases.
Holder of the Canada Research Chair in positron emission tomography based on photon flight time, Réjean Fontaine wishes to use his expertise in the design of complex electronic and computer systems to support the realization of such scanners.
